Dear Family and Friends,
It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Vijay Bindal Goyal. On Saturday, August 28th, 2021, she passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 60 years old.
Vijay bravely fought a battle with Stage IV breast cancer for the past 6 years. Initially diagnosed in August 2015, she was given only a short time frame for survival. However, she fought cancer the same way she approached everything in life; with all of her determination, focus, and fearless inner strength. We watched in awe as she consistently beat every prognosis and with no complaint, she faced this impossible struggle head-on with courage and resolve. So with her endless mental and physical strength, and with the love of her family, she lived, loved, and enjoyed her life until her very last breath.
She is survived by her husband, Krishan Goyal, with whom she recently celebrated 39 years of marriage, her 3 loving children, 6 siblings, and many others. She will be greatly missed by all of the friends and family members whose lives she touched in such wonderful, meaningful ways.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been so invested in Vijay’s condition with their thoughts, prayers, phone calls, messages, and visits. Your strength and support were greatly needed. It is a testament to how much our community loved her and how much she meant to all of us.
To honor Vijay’s powerful journey, we are creating a Foundation, Vijaygarh, via GoFundMe to donate to various causes personal to her heart and virtues including the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
