Our Super Hero Jason Parr
It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Jason John Parr announces his sudden passing on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at the young age of 48. Jason is survived by his wife and best friend Rachael and their children, Savannah, Mace, Rigby, and Bridger. Jason was a devoted family man, the family rock and the center of their world. He always had a way of bringing levity or calmness to any situation. Jason had an incredible zest for life, he was always up for an adventure, and constantly kicked everyone’s butt in Jeopardy. In his spare time, he was an avid hunter, football fan (Steelers), motorcycle rider and firearm enthusiast.
Jason’s story started on April 9, 1969, the only son of John and Judith “Jill” Mueller Parr. He grew up in Newbury Park, CA and was a dedicated track runner in school. His ultimate dream was to join the Marine Corps when he turned 18, and he did just that. Jason honorably served with distinction as a Marine during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Even when he left the Marines, he remained a consummate Marine, still rocking a ‘high and tight’ until his untimely death.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Jason touched are invited to his funeral services on Sunday November 5, 2017. Viewing will be at 12:30pm with services starting at 1:30pm, at the Chapel of San Ramon Valley, 825 Hartz Way, Danville, CA 94526.
Jason’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with, as well as those he reached but never met. Please join the family in a celebration of life and share your stories of remembrance. The commemoration will be held following the funeral services at The Brass Door, 2154 San Ramon Valley Blvd. San Ramon, CA 94583.
