Janine Marie Payette-Appleford

December 30, 1974 ~ January 12, 2016 (age 41)
It is with great sadness the family of Janine Marie Payette Appleford announces the passing of a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece and friend. She tragically completed her 41 years of life on January 12, 2016 by the hands of another. There is no doubt all hands are raised high in heaven in celebration of a life taken from us too soon. We are grateful for the time we had with Janine.

Janine was born in Castro Valley and raised in San Ramon. She graduated from California High School in San Ramon and Sacramento State University where she received her criminal justice degree. After college, she remained in Sacramento. She worked for USAA Insurance Company as an insurance agent. She transferred to Anthem, Arizona when given the opportunity by USAA where she spent her last ten years.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years Terrance Appleford of Phoenix, Arizona; her parents Claudia and Jim Payette of San Ramon; grandmother Elizabeth Payette of Oakland; brother Greg Payette of Danville; daughter Mikayla Payette of San Ramon; sons Justin Payette of San Ramon and James Appleford of Phoenix, Arizona; loving aunts Anna Bettencourt, Marilyn DeJulio, Nancy Voll and Elizabeth Payette; uncle David Payette of Roseville; cousins Tim, Elizabeth and Katherine Voll, Meredith Payette and Jessica Ririe; and mother-in-law- Joyce Appleford of Fresno.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Patricia Fawn DeJulio and Harold Bernard DeJulio, Sr.; paternal grandfather Joseph Payette; Uncle Harold Bernard DeJulio, Jr.; father-in-law Fredrick Wesley Appleford and her cousin Jonathan Bettencourt.

Janine was one of a kind. She treasured her independence, ambition, persistence, courage, confidence and will power. She was God loving, spiritual, adventurous and a gentle woman. She lit up a room with her radiant smile. Janine leaves a timeless footprint of her love for her family, helping hand in assisting others in need, sense of humor, determination and shared memories of her life.
Janine you have gone to be with our Father in Heaven. You remain in our hearts forever. Until we meet again, we will miss you. We love you Janine.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Janine’s name to St. Anthony Foundation,
