It is with great sadness that the family of Hermes Camacho Tengonciang announces his passing, on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at the age of 76 years after a brave 21 month battle with cancer. He is now rejoined with Joy, his wife of 40 years, in heaven.
Hermes was born in Bataan, Philippines. He is survived by his two brothers, Manuel (Leleng) and Miguel (Mike) daughter, Michelle, son, Jayson, and grandchildren, Tyler, Lianna, Avery, and Zoey.
In 1971 he earned his medical degree from the University of the East in the Philippines. He furthered his education at Yale University where he completed a specialization in psychiatry in 1978. After graduation, he established an unparalleled 30 year career in psychiatry with the Delaware State Hospital.
Hermes loved spending time with family and friends, enjoyed sports, was a car enthusiast, and loved to spoil his grandchildren. His easy going and warm nature could always be felt by everyone.
Hermes will be fondly remembered by all those he touched as a loving father, husband, brother, grandpa, and friend.
We will be celebrating his life everyday, and due to covid-19, future services will be planned at a later date. A intention mass will be celebrated on:
