Gerald Fraser Bryant was born on August 13, 1942. He passed away on June 1, 2022, at the age of 79, dying peacefully in Danville. Gerry was the beloved son of Alton and Gladys Bryant (both deceased). He was raised in the central valley town of Visalia. Gerry graduated from Mt. Whitney High School in 1959, and attended college at the College of the Sequoias and Cal State Hayward. He served in the U.S. Army for 3 years. In the army he developed his interest in working with numbers.
His adult life was spent in the Bay area where he had a long career as an accountant. His passions were playing tennis, watching classic movies and listening to 50's rock music. Gerry enjoyed writing and published three books in his later years. His first book was a collection of poems called Sweet Music which was published in 2000. He wrote two novels, Metamorphosed in 2006 and Cafe Rendezvous in 2022.
Gerry had a deep love for his wife and friends. He kept close friends and family in his heart and was always ready to help.
Gerry is survived by his loving wife, Amie. He is also survived by his sister, Marijean Conrad, and his niece, Meghan Conrad Gardner of Connecticut as well as by his cousin and cousin's wife, Mike and Linda Ream of Sacramento.
Friends and family are invited to his Celebration of Life service held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on June 30, 2022, at the Wilson and Kratzer Mortuary on 825 Hartz Way, Danville, CA.
