Deirdre/Dids/Dee was many things to the many people in her life. Born in Montreal, Canada she completed her nursing degree at the Royal Victoria Hospital before embarking on numerous travels and adventures throughout her lifetime. She loved her years living abroad in Greece, Australia, Jamaica and Kuwait. Her passion for caring for others continued when she returned to nursing as a clinical nurse in Oakland and Walnut Creek until retirement in 2005. Her other interests included writing, reading, gardening, volunteering, watching Jeopardy and spending time with her family and friends. She was a very grateful and active member of AA and said many times, it changed her life and helped her gain so many incredibly special friends. Her love of her children and grandchildren was endless and she was happiest being with them. Son, Rich, his wife Jen, daughter Christine, husband Jon and grandchildren Stephen, wife Brittany, Matthew, Gus and Maddi will hold their precious memories of her close forever. She will be cherished and missed by many.
