Bruna Marie Lagorio, age 92 passed away peacefully in her Danville home December 1, 2018. She was born in New York City in 1926 to Italian immigrants, Italo and Pia Lovi, who moved the family back to Italy When she was 9 years old. Her family returned to the U.S. and settled in Oakland, Ca right before WW2. Bruna graduated from UC Berkeley in 1949 as a pre-med major. She was very proud that she studied in a field primarily reserved for men at the time, and passed that independent and tenacious spirit to her three daughters.
Bruna was happiest when surrounded by family including her 2 sisters and their families. She loved to travel with her husband to Europe, Hawaii, Mexico, and especially to Lake Tahoe where the extended family regularly went camping, snow skiing, and hiking. She also enjoyed tennis and played regularly until she was 85 years old.
Bruna leaves behind two daughters, Elizabeth Pasquinelli and Renee Lagorio-French, sons-in-law Arthur Pasquinelli and Cary French, and grandson Greggory Davis as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Albert Lagorio, daughter Michele Lagorio, and grandson Christopher Davis.
Bruna lived a full and active life and will be greatly missed!
