Tribute

Our mother, Anita Gatti, passed away on January 10th, 2023. She was born in Gubbio (Spada) Italy in 1930 and emigrated to the US in 1948 with her sister Nuni and niece Rosa. She was married to the love of her life Orlando for 62 years.

She lived a wonderfully rich life filled with laughter, kids, cooking, books, travel, animals, bocce, bridge, briscola, knitting ICF, church, charities, friends and love of family. Her family, Immediate and extended, was everything to her. She was amazing and was always learning something new. She rooted for the underdog and was an activist ahead of her time. We will forever miss our Matriarch (Noni).

Our mother was predeceased in death by her parents, Dario and Virginia, her husband, Orlando, her sisters, Irene (Roland), Biance, Nuni (Nello), her brothers, Emil (Gloria), Dante, Francesco (Renata), her sister-in-law, Olivia (George) brother-in-law Ed and her daughters-in-law Sharlene and Janetta.

She will be remembered by her sister Guglielma and her sister-in-law Rosi. Cherished by her children, Ron, Don, Mary (John) Scouten, Jane, Paul (Lisa), grandchildren, Andrew (Annie) Scouten, Joe Gatti, Peter (Jen) Hunt, Jessica (Chris) Murphy, Sofia Gatti and Luke Gatti, great-grandchildren, Maddie and Mason Scouten, Jessica’s little girl on the way and many relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.

Celebration of life will be held at St. Isidore’s Church, 440 La Gonda Way, Danville on February 23, 2023 at 1030 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gubbio Project of San Francisco or a charity of your choosing.
